✨The Dos✨ Lucky 3: Unassailable serenity and being "late to the party"
Plus, my pick for the best plant-based milk of 2022
Happy Lucky 3 Thursday! I’m trying something new based on my long-time favorite number, three. I hope you like it.
On “unassailable serenity”: Pulitzer-Prize winning novelist Edith Wharton wrote this letter to a friend suffering from depression. I love this snippet and aspire to decorate my own inner house.
On being “late to the party”: I recently referred to myself as a “late bloomer” to someone new, though after reading this piece I’ll be using the French word, tardive. Caroline Cala Donofrio’s writing has held my attention for years — and this string of sentences made me smile: “Doing stuff later than others does not make you a defective flower. It makes you an interesting person who is living life on your own schedule. Date whenever you want. Dare whenever you want. Be whoever you want, whenever you’re ready.”
NotMilk: A plant-based alternative with no lactose, soy, gluten, cholesterol, GMOs, and whatever else you might be scared of. My main selling point: It tastes like the milk at the end of a bowl of Lucky Charms! (And yes, you should go for the whole milk version.)
So nice to be in your inbox again. Thanks for reading!
